MMs: There is no turning back now
It’s been a rough week y’all. So I’m bringing y’all a rough track! Something a little on the edge. Disturbed is the name of the group from the mighty Chi-town (Chicago). The windy city.
Officially formed as “Disturbed” in 1996, the band went on to blaze the charts with four back to back heaters (hot albums). A fifth album for 2010 has been announced.
This track right here has some musical / lyrical theatrical play that just entertains the hell out of Folk. This shyt is a bipolar show on speed. The lyrics coincide with the attitude and the music. A play on letting the musicality play against the rage that is being released. This one might be a little too much for some of y’all but never the less, Folk likes it.
So this week, Folk gives y’all as the first MMs (Metal Mondays) at the new spot, “Down with the sickness!” As hosting BFDS over the years has become a sickness. Enjoy.
Can you feel that?
Ah, shit
Drowning deep in my sea of loathing
Broken your servant I kneel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems what’s left of my human side
Is slowly changing in me
(Will you give in to me?)
Looking at my own reflection
When suddenly it changes
Violently it changes (oh no)
There is no turning back now
You’ve woken up the demon in me
[Chorus:]
Get up, come on get down with the sickness [x3]
Open up your hate, and let it flow into me
Get up, come on get down with the sickness
You mother get up come on get down with the sickness
You fucker get up come on get down with the sickness
Madness is the gift, that has been given to me
I can see inside you, the sickness is rising
Don’t try to deny what you feel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems that all that was good has died
And is decaying in me
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems you’re having some trouble
In dealing with these changes
Living with these changes (oh no)
The world is a scary place
Now that you’ve woken up the demon in me
[Chorus]
