MMs: Forget the hearse ’cause I’ll never die
Folk was introduced to AC/DC later in life at a Caucasian Cousins house who was playing their live video on the tube at a cookout. Folk found Folk’s self intrigued by their energy, their rawness, their sound (even at their older age). Yeah, Folk had a lot to catch up on and AC/DC would become one of Folk’s favorite bands.
Many of y’all been introduced to AC/DC by virtue of Iron Man the movie. So it’s fitting that Folk spotlight AC/DC on the eve of the sequel, IronMan2
Formed in 1973, AC/DC got their name from a sewing machine label denoting the machine’s electrical rating of alternating current / direct current, which is a great representation of the band’s energy that they’ve brought to their music and stage performances throughout the 30 plus years they’ve been on the scene. Few realize that the band is from the down under, Australia. But alas that’s where they’re from.
If you don’t have any AC/DC in your collection and you want to add a little spice to your set up then Folk suggest that you start off slowly and get their live performance, AC/DC: Live At Donington (1992). You wont regret it.
Betta believe AC/DC in the iPod fvckers. Rock on!
Back in Black!

I hit the sack
I’ve been too long I’m glad to be back
Yes, I’m let loose
From the noose
That’s kept me hanging about
I’ve been looking at the sky
‘Cause it’s gettin’ me high
Forget the hearse ’cause I’ll never die
I got nine lives
Cat’s eyes
Abusin’ every one of them and running wild
CHORUS:
‘Cause I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back
Yes, I’m back
Well, I’m back, back
(Well) I’m back in black
Yes, I’m back in black
Back in the back
Of a Cadillac
Number one with a bullet, I’m a power pack
Yes, I’m in a bang
With a gang
They’ve got to catch me if they want me to hang
Cause I’m back on the track
And I’m beatin’ the flak
Nobody’s gonna get me on another rap
Don’t look at me now
I’m just makin’ my play
Don’t try to push your luck, just get out of my way
CHORUS
Well, I’m back, Yes I’m back
Well, I’m back, Yes I’m back
Well, I’m back, back
Well I’m back in black
Yes I’m back in black
hooo yeah
Ohh yeah
Yes I am
Oooh yeah, yeah Oh yeah
Back in now
Well I’m back, I’m back
Back, I’m back
Back, I’m back
Back, I’m back
Back, I’m back
Back
Back in black
Yes I’m back in black
Out of the sight!

This isn’t necessarily my brand of music, yet AC/DC is one of those bands that were around so long that practically everyone has heard something they’ve made that they like.
True, true. One of the reasons no one should be shame to turn their shyt up!
They are one of my favorite rock bands but I much prefer the Bon Scott era. I was first turned on to them right after college. I like the albums Powerage, High Voltage and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.
Love High Voltage! You have earned the title real AC/DC fan!
Folk. I just can’t do the AC/DC anymore. Memories of g-strings, 5-inch heels, and drunken men flood back too swiftly…oh my, I hate AC/DC.
? L we’re going to have to teach you how to separate your memories. But you know you can’t just throw 5″ heels and g-strings out there with no further explanation!
Folk…how soon you’ve forgotten. Remember this post?

Thanks for the throwback, but that still doesn’t totally explain the heels
Good post man.
I like AC/DC too. Matter of fact I have them for one of my Pandora.com stations. Even though I grew up in a Black and Latino neighborhood, I still grew up listening to other types of music besides R&B and rap. I love Rock and roll. Matter of fact I wanted to be a drummer in a rock band. I even talked my Uncle into buying me some drums when I was younger. They are still in his basement and that was damn near 20 some years ago. So I feel ya man! Rock on Dude!
Did I say that? “Rock on Dude?”
Damn. I will mail you my hood pass tomorrow. Don’t tell nobody man.
LOL! No need to mail the Hood pass, there are more Black Folks listening to rock, metal, and alternative than the media would like for us to believe. It’s the musical divide in order to keep society in prepackaged groups.
Aw, this was a really nice post. In concept I want to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and precise effort to make an excellent article… however what can I say… I procrastinate alot and certainly not seem to get something done. Visit my blog whenever you want. thank you..
